so my mom flew back to poland this morning. for last 2 weeks i have been showing her around vancouver. i took her to the tourist attractions like stanley park, granville island, gastown, robson street and all the sushi restaurants in the city, but didn't limit her to the tourist thing: "been there, done that, bought a t-shirt". we never took a cab, we went to hastings at main etc. in a way, i discovered the city myself again. (btw, it's true that the locals know their area the least/worst!). it was a good experience. a day or two prior to the departure she concluded:
yeah. vancouver is definitely worth seeing, but, for a european, difficult to fall in love with.
bingo. what else could i say? this is a sentence i have been trying to say for last three terms!
